The second annual summer ride. To participate, riders picked up a "little black book" from Big Barn Harley-Davidson highlighting all of the towns and guidlines for the ride. Participants traveled all over Iowa in search of towns that are name after men or women. In addition, this years ride extended into the surrounding states.

Big Barn Harley-Davidson celebrated the second annual Hero's Day on Saturday, June 6 by honoring the firefighter. Saylor Township Fire Department was on hand with their vintage fire truck to meet and greet customers. At 1pm they demonstrated how they use the Jaws of Life to free accident victims from a car. Ankeny Fire Department also brought a vintage truck. Participants in the self-guided ride enjoyed the Pella Fire Station, vintage truck, & fire museum. The winners of the ride were Steve Barker ($500), Karen Creager ($300) & Leo Williams ($200).

With 20 bikes to choose from, participants had a great selection of bikes to ride. Over 300 riders came out to take the Harley-Davidson demo bikes for a spin.

Over 180 bikes were blessed at the annual Blessing of the Bikes. CMA was on hand to bless bikes for a safe riding season. A chili feed followed and proceeds benefitted CMA's "Run for the Son".

Over 300 attendees enjoyed an evening of food, fun & fashion at Big Barn Harley-Davidson's Spring Fashion Show.

You know how the song goes, "Oh, the weather outside was frightful..." But we still had one brave rider & lots of hungry people! Many friends wandered out to Big Barn to enjoy the chili feed sponsored by HOG and an afternoon of socializing. Congratulations to Larry Trumper for winning the best chili contest!

Celebrating the Season at Big Barn. Carolers, pianists, movies, soup lunch & horse drawn carriage rides filled the day with joy. Lucky participants in the snowball throw enjoyed discounts on their holiday purchases, and the Des Moines HOG chapter assisted with gift wrapping all the goodies.

Over 1200 motorcycles from all over Iowa joined together to "Ride for the Cure." Participants met in Newton for lunch, and enjoyed laps around the race track. Participants ended the day long event with a night cap at the Val Air Ballroom where a silent auction was held. All money raised goes to benefit Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research. Big Barn Harley-Davidson & The Globe of Death entertained hundreds over 3 days. Employee night was held on Thursday, followed by VIP night on Friday, and Saturday's entertainment was open to the public. Winners of the "Around the World" ride were announced. In addition, the winner of the bike raffle to benefit Childrens and Families of Iowa was announced.
